Our client, a leading innovator in semiconductor technology, is seeking an experienced SoC Architect to drive the development of cutting-edge switch SoCs. This senior technical role is integral to defining the next generation of high-performance architectures, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of technological advancement. The SoC Architect will take full ownership of hardware architecture, working across the entire lifecycle of SoC products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to identify high-impact use cases for customers.

  • Partner with cross-functional technical teams (RTL, Physical Design, Systems, Software) to deliver new SoC architecture features and define Soft/Hardware Co-Design strategies.

  • Conduct detailed performance analysis, including application benchmarking, power-performance-area trade-offs, and where applicable, employ performance modeling for complex use cases.

  • Apply expertise in one or multiple areas, including Embedded CPU Subsystems, Platform Security, PCIe Interconnect, CXL Interconnect, Ethernet Interconnect, Data Network Switching, and Power Management.

  • Author hardware specifications and architectural validation plans.

  • Review downstream specifications and verification plans for ASIC, software, and platform teams to ensure alignment with architectural requirements.

  • Engage in industry workgroups such as PCI-SIG, CXL, OCP, JEDEC, and DMTF to stay at the forefront of industry developments.

  • Contribute to intellectual property development by filing patents for novel technologies.

  • Provide post-silicon production support, including silicon debug and publishing customer-facing documentation such as datasheets and programming guides.

  • Support various post-silicon operations to enhance the reliability and performance of deployed products.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 10+ years of experience, or a PhD with 8+ years of experience in SoC architecture.

  • Demonstrated success in deploying architecture features in SoC products.

  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse technical teams.

  • Proficiency in evaluating architecture proposals, third-party IP features, and software/system algorithms, while providing strategic guidance.

  • Solid experience in architecture analysis and system modeling.

  • Deep knowledge of PCIe and CXL standards.

  • Extensive experience in defining security architecture for SoCs.

  • Expertise in ARM CPU subsystem architecture, including memory subsystem design, cache subsystems, and software debug architecture.

  • Familiarity with Linux OS, including drivers and BIOS, is a plus.
