Territory Sales Manager
Location: Remote (Candidates must be located in California, Washington, Oregon, or British Columbia)
Overview: We are seeking a Territory Sales Manager to drive growth in our wireless module and SOM/SBC business across the Northwest US, including Northern California, Washington, Oregon, and parts of Canada (BC, AB, SK, MB). This position involves managing direct accounts and distributors to achieve sales goals and expand our market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic plan to increase the sales pipeline and revenue within the assigned territory, focusing on both direct sales and distribution partnerships.
- Collaborate with distributors and internal teams to understand customer needs, identify new opportunities, and propose relevant products and services to enhance revenue.
- Articulate the technical and commercial value of our products, demonstrating how they address customer challenges.
- Work closely with product management and engineering to recommend suitable products and customization options for clients, while providing market feedback to influence product development.
- Train and educate distributors and partners to improve their ability to sell our products effectively.
- Create and deliver compelling product presentations that highlight differentiation and value to current and potential customers.
- Collaborate with customers and distributors to establish revenue forecasts for both direct and distribution accounts, ensuring regular updates.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date CRM system, tracking leads, opportunities, and account information.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical understanding of wireless modules, SOM/SBCs, internal antennas, and IoT sensors/gateways.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritizing sales activities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with demand creation electronics distributors is preferred.
- Familiarity with CRM software, particularly SalesForce, is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, or relevant work experience in lieu of formal education.
- An engineering degree and/or previous experience in selling wireless solutions or high-end microprocessors is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of combined experience in sales within the semiconductor or electronics industry.
