Our client is a leading manufacturer of semiconductors for wearable hardware, specializing in human-computer interaction technologies. Their cutting-edge solutions enable next-generation wearable devices, enhancing sensor integration, power efficiency, and real-time processing for consumer and industrial applications.

To support the development of their next-generation embedded systems, they are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer based in the USA. This role will focus on low-level firmware and real-time software development for semiconductor-driven wearable devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain embedded firmware for semiconductor-based wearable devices.
  • Design and implement real-time software solutions for efficient signal processing and power management.
  • Work closely with hardware, sensor, and algorithm teams to integrate software with cutting-edge semiconductor architectures.
  • Optimize low-power and high-efficiency processing for wearable applications.
  • Debug and troubleshoot firmware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and software profiling tools.
  • Ensure software compliance with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded security best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in embedded software development, preferably for wearable, IoT, or low-power devices.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ for real-time, low-level firmware development.
  • Familiarity with ARM Cortex-M processors, DSPs, or similar embedded architectures.
  • Experience with wireless communication protocols (Bluetooth, NFC, UWB, or Wi-Fi) is a plus.
  • Understanding of low-power design principles for energy-efficient embedded systems.
  • Hands-on experience with debugging tools, hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART), and RTOS development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in optimizing firmware performance.
