Our client is a leading provider of semiconductor equipment, specializing in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) technology. Their advanced plasma-based solutions enable precise thin-film deposition, driving innovation in semiconductor manufacturing.
To enhance plasma system performance in ALD tools, they are seeking an RF Plasma Systems Architect to lead the design, optimization, and integration of RF subsystems for next-generation semiconductor equipment.
Key Responsibilities
RF & Plasma System Development
- Develop advanced RF plasma systems, optimizing power delivery, frequency control, impedance matching, and plasma uniformity for ALD chambers.
- Perform electromagnetic simulations, plasma modeling, and validation testing to ensure system reliability and process stability.
- Drive improvements in plasma uniformity, density, and repeatability, implementing advanced control strategies for enhanced ALD process quality.
Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with mechanical, electrical, software, and process engineering teams to integrate RF plasma control systems into ALD chamber designs.
- Identify and propose next-generation plasma technologies, aligning with product development roadmaps.
Troubleshooting & Documentation
- Diagnose and resolve RF and plasma-related system issues, minimizing downtime and improving tool reliability.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system design specifications, interface control documents, and test protocols.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in RF circuit design and development, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
- Strong expertise in plasma-based semiconductor processes such as ALD, PECVD, Etch, or PVD (Plasma-enhanced ALD preferred).
- Deep understanding of RF system control, plasma physics, and semiconductor manufacturing requirements.
- Proficiency in engineering software and analytical tools for system design and performance validation.
Preferred:
- Experience in project management or new product development.
- Knowledge of semiconductor equipment manufacturing standards and regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of intellectual property protection and patenting processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools (COMSOL, ANSYS, Particle-In-Cell, Monte Carlo Collision) for plasma system analysis and optimization.
