To support their ongoing research and innovation efforts, they are seeking a Senior Technology Strategy Advisor to help establish and maintain strategic partnerships with academia and industry across Europe. This role will play a critical part in shaping technology development, fostering collaboration, and identifying emerging trends in computing, AI, and ICT. The position is permanent and based in Belgium.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and strengthen strategic partnerships with leading European academic institutions and industry organizations in ICT, computing, and AI.
- Maintain close engagement with research ecosystems across Europe and the EU, participating in collaborative projects, policy discussions, and technology initiatives.
- Represent the company in academic and industry conferences, forums, and working groups to enhance its influence, visibility, and thought leadership in key technological fields.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technology trends, providing insights and recommendations on R&D priorities and future technology strategies.
- Build and maintain a network of experts, research partners, and high-level advisors to enhance technological competitiveness.
- Act as a bridge between research, development, and business strategy, translating technical advancements into commercial opportunities.
- Support European research initiatives and funding programs, ensuring effective collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computing, AI, or a related field, with at least 10 years of relevant industry or academic experience.
- Deep expertise in ICT, computing, and AI, with the ability to analyze and anticipate technology trends.
- Extensive professional network and influence within academic institutions, research bodies, and industry organizations.
- Proven experience in leading large-scale research initiatives, industry-academic collaborations, or technology development programs.
- Strong track record of publishing in high-impact academic journals or conferences, or holding significant technology patents.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders across technical and business domains.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align research priorities with business objectives.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional language skills, particularly French, are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Europe to engage with research and industry partners.
