About the Company
Our client is a leading developer and manufacturer of radio frequency (RF), microwave, and millimeter-wave semiconductor devices and components. Their cutting-edge technology enables high-performance communication, radar, and sensing applications across defense, aerospace, and commercial markets.
To support their growing design and production efforts, they are seeking a Layout Engineer based in the USA to contribute to the physical design and layout of advanced RF and microwave semiconductor components.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize IC layouts for RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave semiconductor devices.
- Work closely with circuit designers, process engineers, and test teams to ensure layout integrity and performance.
- Implement DRC, LVS, and parasitic extraction checks to ensure compliance with foundry design rules.
- Optimize layout parasitics, shielding, and electromigration robustness for high-frequency circuits.
- Collaborate with fabrication and packaging teams to ensure manufacturability and reliability.
- Support layout verification, tape-out preparation, and process flow optimization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, or a related field.
- Experience in layout design for RF, microwave, or high-frequency semiconductor circuits.
- Proficiency with layout tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Mentor Graphics, or Keysight ADS.
- Understanding of RF circuit principles, electromagnetic effects, and transmission line design.
- Experience with CMOS, GaAs, GaN, or SiGe process technologies is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in layout optimization and verification.
