Day Technician | Data Centres | MRL Consulting

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading company in the data centre industry, for a Day Technician to support the operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure at their facility in the Netherlands. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional looking to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems within the data centre.
• Support the monitoring and operation of critical infrastructure, ensuring uptime and reliability.
• Assist in the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
• Respond promptly to technical issues and alarms, identifying and resolving faults to minimise downtime.
• Work closely with engineering and operations teams to support facility upgrades, repairs, and new installations.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation related to maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience in data centre operations, critical facilities, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UPS, generators, cooling systems, and electrical distribution.
• Ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment with a focus on reliability and efficiency.
• Hands-on problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work day shifts and participate in on-call rotations as required.
• Fluent in English.
