On behalf of our client, a leading innovator in semiconductor IP and EDA tools, we are looking for a Product Engineer - EDA to join their expert team in France. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of software and hardware, transforming innovative ideas into real-world solutions.

Your Role

As a Product Engineer - EDA, you will be responsible for defining, documenting, and validating new EDA software features. You will act as an internal customer, ensuring the development team delivers high-quality and user-friendly solutions. This includes:

  • Prototyping and refining new features based on internal and external feedback.
  • Specifying development requirements for the engineering team.
  • Testing features as an end-user during development.
  • Writing technical documentation, including user manuals.

This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where they can influence product design, architecture, and development processes.

What You Bring

  • Eight or more years of experience in semiconductor EDA tool development or CAD flow specification.
  • Deep understanding of the full SoC development lifecycle and relevant design, verification, and testing tools.
  • Expertise in hardware description and verification languages: VHDL, Verilog, SystemC, SystemVerilog.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Experience with version control (Git) and agile development methodologies.
  • Proven ability to write detailed engineering specifications and technical documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and brainstorming skills.
  • Familiarity with modern project management tools (Jira, Confluence).

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of IP-XACT (XML-based standard for IP design).
  • Experience with C++, Java, TCL, Perl.
  • Understanding of SystemC and TLM2.0.

Education & Language Requirements

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English and French.
