Facilities Manager | Data Centres | MRL Consulting

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading data centre operator in Malaysia, for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee critical infrastructure and ensure seamless operations.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the data centre’s facilities, including power, cooling, and security systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Oversee vendor management, contracts, and service level agreements.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimise downtime and enhance efficiency.
• Lead and develop a team of engineers and technicians to maintain operational excellence.
• Monitor and manage budgets, cost controls, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support business continuity and expansion plans.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in data centre facilities management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of critical infrastructure such as UPS, generators, HVAC, and fire suppression systems.
• Familiarity with ISO, TIA-942, Uptime Institute, and other relevant standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
