We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading company in the data centre industry, for an experienced Market Technical Manager to oversee technical operations, customer solutions, and infrastructure performance across their facilities in the San Francisco market. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless integration of technical services and supporting business growth in a highly competitive sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the technical authority for data centre operations within the designated market.
• Provide strategic guidance on infrastructure performance, risk management, and operational efficiency.
• Lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of critical systems, including power, cooling, and networking.
• Work closely with sales and customer teams to develop tailored technical solutions and ensure service excellence.
• Oversee vendor relationships and contract management, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Conduct capacity planning and forecasting, aligning technical capabilities with business needs.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational resilience and efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to on-site engineering and operations teams.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in data centre operations, critical infrastructure, or technical leadership roles.
• Strong expertise in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems relevant to data centres.
• Ability to engage with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to develop and deliver technical solutions.
• Knowledge of compliance standards such as Uptime Institute, ISO, and ASHRAE.
• Proficiency in data centre monitoring tools and analytics platforms.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Fluent in English, with excellent communication abilities.
