About the Company

To support their continued innovation, they are seeking a Performance Architect based in California to drive system-level performance analysis, optimization, and modeling for their AI and HPC semiconductor architectures.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement performance models for AI accelerators and HPC processors.
  • Conduct bottleneck analysis, workload characterization, and system performance tuning to enhance computing efficiency.
  • Work closely with hardware, software, and algorithm teams to optimize performance across the stack.
  • Develop simulation frameworks and tools for power, latency, and throughput analysis.
  • Provide technical guidance on microarchitecture trade-offs, memory hierarchy, and interconnect performance.
  • Stay ahead of emerging AI and HPC workloads, ensuring next-generation architectures meet evolving computational demands.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in performance modeling, profiling, and optimization for AI accelerators, GPUs, or HPC architectures.
  • Strong understanding of parallel computing, memory hierarchies, and dataflow optimization.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, or performance analysis tools.
  • Experience with AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and hardware acceleration techniques is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on system efficiency and scalability.
