Physical Design Engineer - Staff Level

**Role Summary:**
As a Staff Physical Design Engineer, you will be essential in turning our advanced designs into silicon, ensuring they meet stringent performance, power, and area (PPA) targets. This role requires expertise in the physical design flow, including floor-planning, placement, clock tree synthesis, and routing. You'll work closely with design and verification teams to achieve timing closure and resolve layout challenges.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage all aspects of the physical design process, including floor-planning, placement, and routing.
- Utilize industry-leading EDA tools (Synopsys, Cadence) for design tasks such as physical verification, static timing analysis, and power integrity analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address signal integrity issues, layout violations, and optimize design efficiency.
- Continuously improve design methodologies to enhance productivity and flow consistency.
- Stay updated with advancements in physical design technology and process nodes.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in physical design for integrated circuits.
- Proficiency in industry-standard EDA tools and a strong grasp of digital circuit design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., TCL, Python) is a plus.
