We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading company in the energy sector, for an experienced Technical Sales Support Specialist to play a key role in the offer preparation process for power transformers. This position involves working closely with sales teams and customers, providing technical expertise and commercial guidance to ensure the delivery of optimal solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support sales teams and customers by preparing technical descriptions, commercial conditions, and necessary documentation for offers.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for the power transformer product range.
  • Assist in identifying the most technically and financially suitable products, solutions, and services for complex offers.
  • Provide technical support during meetings, presentations, and discussions with customers.
  • Analyze customer requirements and prepare tailored technical and commercial offers, ensuring alignment with production capabilities and sales strategy.
  • Ensure the timely transmission and follow-up of offers to customers and sales representatives.
  • Occasionally participate in kick-off meetings and establish necessary technical documentation.
  • Address customer queries throughout the costing phase, offering both technical and sales support.
  • Define and communicate pricing for proposed solutions.
  • Maintain an up-to-date quote database (CRM, offer software, etc.).
  • Support risk assessment processes, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive research, using feedback from sales representatives and industry trends.
  • Provide insights into won/lost proposals, working with sales and production teams to refine strategies and enhance performance.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs and industry events.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with experience in tenders, contracts, and risk assessment.
  • Ability to manage multiple offers simultaneously, with a structured and analytical approach.
  • Autonomous, proactive, and customer-focused, with strong listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and general IT proficiency.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional short trips within France and Europe.
  • Fluency in French and English is essential.
