Senior Principal Analog Design Engineer

Location: Hillsboro, OR; San Jose, CA; or Austin, TX  

Join a leading innovator in high-performance analog semiconductors, driving the future of wireless networking. We are seeking a Senior Principal Analog Design Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced mixed-signal SoCs for audio and voice applications, including smart speakers, wireless headsets, and intelligent gaming controllers.

In this role, you will lead the design and development of state-of-the-art analog and mixed-signal circuits for complex SoC platforms. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture, design circuits, and bring products to market that set new standards for low power consumption and performance. Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the development and market launch of advanced IP and products.
- Oversee architecture, design, verification, and system integration to meet product requirements.
- Collaborate with system, digital, RF, and firmware engineers to create detailed specifications and resolve design challenges.
- Contribute to product definition and roadmap, balancing innovation with timely execution.
- Engage with customers to define architectures, conduct feasibility studies, and support system studies.

Qualifications:

- 15+ years (BSEE), 12+ years (MSEE), or 8+ years (PhD) in analog and mixed-signal circuit design.
- Expertise in developing low-noise, ultra-low power circuits for advanced SoC platforms.
- Proficiency with Delta Sigma ADCs/DACs, Class D/AB drivers, PMUs, and switching regulators.
- Strong understanding of CMOS processes, high-performance circuit layout, and device physics.
- Experience with SoC debugging, validation, and characterization.
- Proficiency in IC design tools like Spectre, Spice, Matlab, and Verilog.
- Ability to mentor team members and lead technical discussions with customers.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Knowledge of audio and digital signal processing.
- Experience with standard interfaces (SPI, I2S, USB) and scripting languages (Python, Shell).
- Laboratory measurement skills for audio and wireless SoCs.
